Fruit Loops were introduced in 1962 and originally there were  there were redorange, and yellow loops, the color of Toucan Sam's nose.  There is no fruit in Froot Loops and the cereal is just one flavor, not a combination of the individual fruit flavors as many think.

Toucan Sam's  catch phrases were "Follow my nose! For the fruity taste that shows!" or "Follow my nose! It always knows!"
