I remember watching Neil Armstrong take his first step on the Moon at 10:56 p.m. Eastern time on Sunday, July 20, 1969. We sat there filled with excitement and anticipation, knowing we were watching history unfold right before our eyes.
Even now, I can still picture our living room, the furniture and exactly where I was sitting. Technically, it was 10:56 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, since daylight saving time was in effect, but the technical details did not matter that night. It was history, and I remember it like it was yesterday.
Where were you when Neil Armstrong walked on the Moon? Now please pass the tang!
