Do The Freddie was a dance fad in 1965 by the British band Freddie and the Dreamers. To do The Freddie, simply stand in place; then, in rhythm with the music first extend the left leg and raise both arms, as if you were doing jumping jacks; then extend the right leg and raise both arms again. Repeat until the song’s conclusion.
Frederick “Freddie” Garrity (14 November 1936 – 19 May 2006 was the frontman/lead singer of Freddie and the Dreamers. He died of emphysema.
Kimba the White Lion was an anime or cartoon as we called it from 1965 to 1967. It was the first color animated series in Japan.
Released for March 3, 1989 for her Like A Prayer album, Pepsi-Cola signed Madonna to a $5 million deal to use it as a commercial and sponsor her world tour. There was just one problem, Madonna refused to sing or dance for the video so the portrayed her revisiting childhood memories.
I just don’t know how this game didn’t become a classic! LOL. Players move around groups of playing pieces set up similarly to checkers. Each piece consists of a plastic ball mounted on a long springy stem which is mounted on a peg which fits into holes in the board. Players can attack an opponents piece by pulling back on one of their own adjacent pieces and releasing it, causing the plastic balls to collide.
This was during an actual game Nov. 11, 1979 Denver versus New England. It was a stunt for the TV show Mork and Mindy.
In its heyday, McDonald’s hired jingle writer Barry Manilow to write the theme song.

The Avengers was a British espionage series that first aired on ABC American Broadcasting Network but produced by the Associated British Corporation ABC, also known as Thames Television after the two merged in 1968. The Avengers was the first British television series on air on US prime time. ABC-TV paid $2 million dollars for the series which was an extremely high price at the time. The show now could be recorded on 35mm film not videotape as in the first year. It was the practice of the day to reuse videotape and as a result, all but three of the first season episodes were reused and erased. Only 3 first season episodes are known to exist.
The main characters were Patrick Macnee as John Steed and Diana Rigg played Emma Peel.
The Avengers played opposite NBC’s British Show The Saint. Other stars were Ian Hendry as Dr. David Keel and Cathy Gale as Honor Blackman. The series ran from 1961 to 1969. Diana Rigg joined the series in in 1965 but left in 1967. She was unhappy with the way she felt she was treated by the producers. She was also upset the cameramen was paid more than she was paid.
The theme song used in this intro was first used in 1965. The theme was called the Shake based on the Shake Dance craze during the 1960’s

The show is the first television series to feature Superman and began filming in 1951 in California on RKO-Pathé stages and the RKO Forty Acres back lot. It was sponsored by cereal manufacturer Kellogg’s.

Fruit Loops were introduced in 1962 and originally there were there were red, orange, and yellow loops, the color of Toucan Sam’s nose. There is no fruit in Froot Loops and the cereal is just one flavor, not a combination of the individual fruit flavors as many think.
Toucan Sam’s catch phrases were “Follow my nose! For the fruity taste that shows!” or “Follow my nose! It always knows!”
